How are business trips going to be post COVID19?

In this globalized world, it would be impossible to erase business trips completely. However, some measures will sure change after the pandemic. Read this article to be prepared!

Is it safe?

Most airlines have drastically improved their disinfection process between flights. Also, most airplanes are equipped with high efficiency air filters which recycle the air every 2 to 3 minutes. However, precaution is a must: try not to touch your face after you have contact with a surface to diminish any risk, and your flight will be as safe as ever.

Booking and Insurance

Before you book a flight make sure you take the next things into consideration:

  • Restrictions: Check your government and the destination’s official websites or social media for information on any flight restrictions.
  • Airline: Even if your government has no flight restrictions, your airline might have new regulations in order to better accommodate their passengers. Make sure you consult them for any new processes in your itinerary.
  • Insurance: Many insurances will not cover any loses or complications in your trip due to COVID-19. Attempt to hire independent travel insurance; most airlines offer different sorts of cancelling policies which will best suit your needs.

Stay safe recommendations:

  • Consult your airport’s policy on carrying hand sanitizer and / or disinfecting wipes.
  • Use said disinfecting wipes to clean common surfaces on your flight.
  • When checking in at a hotel, consult with the front desk for any information on disinfecting protocols and its frequencies.
  • Wipe commonly used items in the room (alarm clock, phone, door knobs, etc.)
  • Pay using credit or debit card instead of cash.

Travel won’t be the same for a while, so it’s better to be prepared. It goes without saying that if you or anyone you have been in contact with recently present any symptoms, it is better to avoid travel and seek medical care.
