A landmark public-private partnership for integrated urban development
Panama Pacifico is a special economic area and master-planned community built on the former Howard Air Force Base, beside the Panama Canal, minutes from Panama City.
WHO WE ARE
One place, planned by two sectors.
The project is built through a public-private alliance: the Panamanian State, through the AgenciabPanamá Pacifico, and a master developer, London & Regional Panama, working under one long-term masterplan. The result is an innovative, sustainable and prosperous community where residents and businesses live and work in harmony with the natural environment.
LAW 41. THE LEGAL FOUNDATION
A special economic zone, by law.
Created by Law 41 of 2004, the Panama Pacifico Special Economic Area operates under its own legal framework, jointly managed by the public and private sectors. The law establishes the Agencia Panamá Pacifico, defines the area’s tax, customs, labor and immigration incentives, and gives registered investments long-term legal stability.
