In early 2011, Howard International Airport will provide an alternative for commercial aviation in Panama.
Rosa Muñoz, the airport’s director, stated that by December the fuel storage tanks and passenger terminal should be ready, projects which have cost close to three million dollars.
Another two million have been invested in modernizing the control tower and upgrading the runway, added Muñoz.
Today, Howard airport is being used for executive flights and by Panama Aerospace Engineering Singapore, which is engaged in airplane maintenance and repair.
