London & Regional Panama (LRP), Master Developer of the Panama Pacifico mega-project, says big changes are on the way. The project is located in Howard, a former U.S. Air Force base. With construction well underway and a modern Town Center and Business Park in the works, LRP says now is the time to scout out new hotels for the area.

It's all part of the Panama Pacifico Master Plan, which calls for luxury and executive class hotels to suit every need. The newcomers will likely be boutique hotels, and will form part of the Panama Pacifico Special Economic Area. This area, known as the AEEPP, is a draw for major firms around the world because it offers a great deal of tax and other incentives to a variety of companies.

"We're in talks with a wide range of firms, including first-rate hotels in both the tourism and business sectors. We'll have the exciting details soon, so stay tuned," said Henry Kardonski, Managing Director of LRP. The new hotels are expected to offer a total of 1100 rooms.

In addition to hotels and entertainment venues, the Panama Pacifico Master Plan calls for a resort and an 18-hole golf course.

"The Kobbe Hills golf course and club will be unique in Latin America. They'll be right in the wetlands, so visitors can enjoy the natural habitat. Certain points along the course will overlook the rainforest, the Panama City skyline, the Panama Canal, and the hills," added Kardonski.
