Ecologically Friendly
Panama Pacifico’s master plan includes the careful integration of new development into the beautiful natural environment of the site. Wetlands, mangrove, forests, and native habitat are being preserved, in addition to many of the large trees in the area.
New storm water systems will be integrated to allow the natural run-off of rainwater to nurture the land, and new trees will be planted every year as the development progresses.
These efforts are respectful of the natural environment and will create a healthy, beautiful place for the companies, employees, residents and visitors to Panama Pacifico.
As this site was originally created as a ‘garden city’ for its military residents, the goal for the new community is to maintain nearly half of the project’s 1,400 hectares for open space, native habitat and new parks.
Panama Pacifico is being created with paths to encourage walkable, livable communities where workers and residents can conveniently travel by foot or bicycle without relying on their vehicles. Blending homes and recreational amenities with businesses and retail establishments, this mixed-used development will be green, inclusive and self-sustaining.
Project Fact
